Strengths Achiever, Learner, Developer, Empathy, and Ideation
Driven by her talents, Madelyn is passionate about creating spaces that are both useful and beautiful. She is particularly interested in architecture’s ability to enhance the lives and experiences of people. Intuitive by nature, she is able to recognize the strengths and limitations of a space and identify how a person feels in that space.

Madelyn appreciates opportunities to acquire knowledge, gains skills, and experience new things. She received her Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University and her Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech. She also spent a semester studying in Italy, where she developed a love of architecture history and historic preservation. Before joining Shelden Architecture, Madelyn worked on a variety of fire stations across her home state of Texas. Her experience in fire station design developed her ability to design buildings that balance function, aesthetics, and cost.

Outside of work, Madelyn enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, trying out new recipes, and discovering all that Wichita—the city she now calls home—has to offer.
