With a focus on addressing societal challenges, Franchelle seeks to harness the transformative potential of modern technologies to create thoughtful, impactful solutions. She finds inspiration in the visual arts and philosophical inquiry, believing that architecture must be fundamentally informed by the socio-economic, cultural, and physical contexts in which it exists. She believes that architecture should emerge from rigorous research, ensuring it responds to the complexities of real-world conditions.
She attained her bachelor’s degree in India where she worked in various organizations ranging from architectural design to communications to research. She then achieved her master’s from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Beyond her academic pursuits, she enjoys reading, hiking and the pursuit of mixed-martial arts.
