This project was a new 30,000 SF branch bank and headquarters building for the Kansas City area’s operations for Equity Bank.  The three-story design accommodates a walk-in branch on the first level, regional bank offices on the first and second level, and tenant space on the third level. Most of the building’s offices are in a part of the building that was rotated 45 degrees.  This rotation allows for views to an adjacent stream corridor and the intersection of College and Metcalf, a major intersection in Overland Park.  The rotated portion of the building was raised to draw attention to the building which stands prominently on an elevated site. A majority of the building’s exterior is curtainwall, taking advantage of the elevated site and views.
