The Architect Intern will assist the design team in the design and development of building projects (Utilizing hand drawings and SketchUp) as well as in the daily production of Revit (and AutoCAD) drawings. Coordination with other disciplines including structural, mechanical, electrical, civil and plumbing/fire protection will be required. Other job responsibilities will include shop drawing and vendor document review, participating in site/field verification and as built documentation and drawing, as well as project coordination. The intern will need the ability to prioritize tasks to perform on multiple assignments concurrently, and function in a high-demand and fast-paced environment. It is also understood that obtaining licensure is a high priority and expected.

This position requires a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture. A growing knowledge of building technology and construction and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp is essential. A proficiency in MS Office programs such as Excel and Word, and Adobe programs such as Photoshop and InDesign is useful. An attitude and commitment to being and active participant in personal and company-wide improvement is a must.

PROJECT ARCHITECT/MANAGER (3-8 years experience)

The Project Architect/Manager is responsible for planning, interpreting, organizing, scheduling and managing projects through all phases of development. Establishes and monitors budgets, manages project team, and prepares schedules to endure efficient use of resources. Oversees design development, production of working drawings, and construction administration on projects. This position is responsible for maintaining client relationships and has authority to direct, control and monitor all project activities. The Project Architect/Manager must demonstrate experience in all phases of architecture and engineering services. Because of the scale and variety of project types, it is understood that the Project Architect/Manager will wear multiple hats from designer to draftsman to spec writer.

The Project Architect/Manager must demonstrate professional skills, high standards, sound judgment and professionalism. The Project Architect/Manager will pass knowledge to others and support a continuous learning environment. Team building and motivation are also key responsibilities.

Major Responsibilities:
1. Ensures that project conforms to contractual agreement with client.
2. Effectively manages project budget to ensure profitability.
3. Effectively manages project schedule to ensure completion within allocated time period.
4. Maintains ongoing, positive and productive client relationships
5. ensures that project needs are satisfied by effectively managing project staff and resources.
6. Effectively and proactively coaches, mentors and provides performance-enhancing feedback to team members.
7. Implements processes to reduce risks and exposure in all phases of the project.
8. Directs activities related to construction administration, including scheduling, preparation of shop drawings, field observations, report of change orders and pay request.
9. Ensures that construction administration activities emphasize efficiency, qualityy assurance and code compliance.
10. May participate in business development activities.
11. Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements:
This position requires a B.S. or B.A in Architecture and 3-8 years of experience in designing a variety of projects. An architecture license, or equivalent experience, is required. The Project Architect/Manager must have client management, proposal creation, and negotiation experience, in additions to leadership experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently achieving high standards and goals. Proven experience in motivation and inspiring others is essential. Presentation skills and travel are required.
