The doctors wanted a facility that would be warm, inviting and comfortable, yet communicate the combination of state of the art technology and specialized care for which they are known.
Clean, simple detailing with stone accents and anodized aluminum windows create a contemporary yet timeless design. A thin stucco band separates and defines the transition between the masonry walls and the deep overhangs of the roof. Recessed brick courses reinforce the horizontal characteristics of the building.
Since optical testing and exam spaces require complete lighting control, we placed them at the center of the clinic area. This allowed us to use large, recessed windows to flood the circulation spaces with light and bring the exterior materials and environment into the building.
